OUR HISTORY
Our Path Through Time
I grew up surrounded by precious gemstones and am fortunate to continue the legacy of two generations of gemstone traders
My father was known as an astute gem dealer, as was my grandfather. He had a sharp eye for the exceptional and I have honed my skills under his watchful gaze. His fame spread across the globe, and he was known as a purveyor of fine gemstones and diamonds.
Over time, he also developed a reputation for high quality Columbian emeralds. His trips to New York and Columbia, amongst other famous gem nations have established connections with key players in the industry and to which I have the good fortune of being privy to.
This legacy represents a trust in upholding the values our family has held on to and a responsibility towards both our clients and to the jewellery trade.

Our Team
There is no I in the word Team! Our passion for beautiful gemstones defines us as a team. Our team is dispersed around the world and despite coming from different backgrounds, share the same love for gemstones.
Shahzeem Pasha
Hailing from a family of gemstone dealers, Shahzeem Pasha is the 3rd generation to carry on the trade. Being exposed at a very young age to precious gemstones, it aroused a natural curiosity and admiration for a trade that opened itself up to the world.
After his National Service, he signed up for a GIA course and chosed Thailand because of it being the main gemstone centre for the world to complete his Graduate Gemologist programme.
Mishal Jewels is a humble expression of his family legacy to bring meaning and joy to the lives of people thru the beauty of gemstones and thru the artistry of man.
Rashad Mohammed
Based out of Delhi, India, Rashad is a fellow graduate Gemologist (GIA) and Jewelry professional. with experience of over 15 years In India and Middle east markets. He has worked for jabong.com and Tiffany & Co, India.
He is very versatile with a noted career as an e-commerce specialist for jewellery and for on-site retail formats.
 Always ready with a disarming smile, Rashad is a dedicated professional who understands the luxury mindset and is managing our India clientele.
Celeste Wu Jiarong
Jiarong Wu is indeed a rare find. For six years, she was involved in project management in the construction and engineering field, but she found her calling in the creative arts and has never looked back since. With 14 years of jewellery design experience,
Jiarong is a masterful story-teller who is able to create a uniquely curated jewellery experience. She is influenced by various cultures, be it her own Chinese roots or the major cultures such as the Byzantine, Enlightenment or Islamic, which she sees as enriching the whole human existence. She is creative, spiritual and at the same time very exacting in what she wants to create and showcase.
The only rose in our team, Jiarong’s passion and drive is what elevates the most beautiful gemstones into works of art!
Munzir Mujahid
Munzir hails from a family of gem traders from Sri Lanka. In fact, my father had had business dealings with his family and this tradition and relationship has continued to this day. With 20 years of experience,
Munzir has developed a sharp eye for high quality and collector gemstones. His quiet demeanour belies his wealth of experience and knowledge and is a testament to his humility.
Similarly driven by his family’s legacy and his love for coloured gemstones, his presence in the team further bolsters and compliments our vision at Mishal Jewels.
Razin Ahmad Rahimi
Based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Razin is a Geologist and Gemologist Trainee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Geology from the University of Malaya. He had received a scholarship from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to further his study in the Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) program.
He is also an experienced content management specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation and geoscience industries.
A very thorough and soft spoken man, Razin’s love for gemstones is indeed infectious. With the same mindset and values as mine, he is a natural fit to our team.
Gabriel Shawn
Based in Singapore, Gabriel is our newest and youngest team member at only 23. With an interest for all-things advertising, he brings a keen eye for creativity and a burning passion to educate everyone about the world of gemstones.
Gabriel’s role in Mishal Jewels is to help shed light on everything about gems, from their sources to the endless varieties that exist, through videos.
